Easter 2009

Last Friday we packed up and left to spend Easter in Minnesota with Jared's family. Jared's sister and husband built a new home and moved in last September and we had yet to get up and see it. Talk about beautiful! Tara has paid attention to every last detail, I swear.

Macy loved being on the farm. She loved Tara's cat, Chaplain "Chappy" and dog, Shep. She saw a real cow and quickly learned that cows not only have big tongues, but long as well. Another highlight was geting to ride in Uncle Brian's International, oooops, I mean John Deere tractor. Saturday, one of Tara's friends had an Easter egg hunt and invited Macy to take part. I think she has hunting for Easter eggs down. After the egg hunt, we went back to Tara's and Grandma, Grandpa, and Great Grandma baby- sat while Tara, Brian, Jared, and I went out for supper. We returned home yesterday at about 6:30. During our 5 hour trip home, Macy slept for a whopping 40 minutes, and yes, it was a little (a lot) ugly in the car. She was so overly exhausted and tired of sitting, that all she could do was cry. Did I say cry? I mean scream. Anyways, we got home safely, got both kids bathed and in bed by 7:15ish. What a weekend! Here's some pics from the trip.

  1. A FULL weekend, hope everyone is recovering from all the fun. Aren't kids supposed to sleep when they go riding in a car? :-) Ear plugs? :-) Great photos!
