They're growing up!!!

Here's some more pics of our babies. Grey started squash and carrots this past week and loved the little Nuby cup. (Thanks Emily M. for the idea!)
Macy loves her sun "gasses!"

G and G Colegrove come to visit!

We had a fun weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Colegrove! They even get to stay a few extra days because Grandma has a conference in Des Moines this week. There were 2 highlights of the weekend. #1. I finally got to go shopping (for 6 hours!) while Grandpa and Jared stayed with home with both kids. #2. Greyson rolled over! Once he got it, he wanted to do it over and over and over. I was fighting him to get dressed because he just wanted to roll. Here's some pics from the weekend. Grandpa C. and Grey

Greyson Giggles

My friend Carrie and her two boys stopped over to visit yesterday. Austin, her youngest, could get Grey to really giggle! Enjoy!

Coffee??

This morning when I asked Macy what she wanted for breakfast she answered "coffee" and walked toward the coffee maker. Okay, so I have to be honest. I drink a cup of coffee every morning or as my mother-in-law would say, I drink Coffeemate with a little coffee. Anyways, yes, I've let Macy have a sip a couple times. Well, I better quit. Not a good habit to start at 18 months old. Poor Macy...she had to settle for blueberry shredded wheat and orange juice.

Last night Jared had this idea to change up the bedtime routine a bit. He thought he could have Macy just lay next to him in our bed and she would fall asleep. (We've never tried this before.) I didn't say anything. I had just gotten Greyson to bed so I decided I'd go lay by them. Let's just say it was about 15 minutes of anything but rest. She'd maybe lay still for 5 seconds at a time and then would roll towards me and say, "love you Mommy," and then roll toward Jared and say, "love you Daddy." That would be followed by kisses on the lips, forehead, and cheeks not to mention the 50 times she bumped her head on our headboard which would be followed with "ouwie." Both Jared and I giggled under our breath. I decided to go take a shower and Jared put her in her bed.

Our computer is not working properly so I'm at school updating today. Here's more pictures!

Wonder what M will think of the real Easter Bunny?

Daddy's home!

Nice diaper!

This is what happens when dinner isn't ready at 5:30! Macy will go to the pantry and help herself to whatever looks good. And yes, she pulled a bib out of the drawer and put it on all by herself.

This is what Grey thinks of rice cereal now.

Spring Break is here!

Finally, some time to write! We've had sickness strike, but I think we are healthy...well, sort of. At least we have a week to try to get completely rid of these colds. Macy seems to have gotten over her terrible sinus infection, but still has a cold. Greyson has also been fighting a cold. Don't you just love it in the morning when the baby wakes up and you know that you will be able to get like a liter of snot out with the beloved snot sucker? Poor Greyson. He's such a trooper though.

Jared didn't escape from the sickness train. Last Saturday he went to Urgent Care with a terrible sore throat and was told he had influenza. He started the antibiotic that day just to be slapped in the face a day and a half later with another flu. The poor guy lost 10 pounds in a matter of about 6 hours! This flu laid him up for about 3 days. He's finally feeling better and I feel like I have my husband (help) back.

Last Saturday night Jared and I went on a date. It was so nice to just focus on us. We went to Old Chicago and then to Target, yes Target. I know, so romantic, but it was just nice to walk around, Starbucks in hand, and enjoy being able to go at our own pace. Yesterday we got outside and watched Macy enjoy playing with the neighbor kids. This summer is going to be so much fun!

Rice what???

Today was Grey's 4 month well baby check. He's a happy, healthy, 18 pound baby boy! We tried rice cereal for the first time tonight and let's just say our normal smiley Grey wasn't smiley whatsoever. He's not a fan as of right now, and I think I ended up with more cereal on me then he did in his belly. We did shoot a little video of it, but all he's doing is bawling so I won't torture anyone, especially grandmas and grandpas who can barely stand the sound of a crying grandbaby:) Anyways, maybe just maybe the little bit that I did get in him will help him sleep better since lately he thinks he needs to be up 5-6 times a night. No joke! "Seriously, have you tried this stuff? Where's the Lawry's?"
"I'm not kidding. One more spoonful and you'll be wearing it!"

Grandpa and Grey

Grandpa and Grandma Colegrove were down to visit a week ago. Here's Grey with Grandpa C.
